Anaerobic adhesives cure only after being isolated from air.
Anaerobic adhesives cure only after being isolated from air. They are commonly used for screw fixing, bearing fixing, and thread sealing, among other applications in our daily lives.
What are the different types of anaerobic adhesives?
Anaerobic adhesives can be categorized by bonding strength, bonding performance, and application. There are many types, generally classified by performance, the object being bonded, or a combination of both.
What are the superior properties of anaerobic adhesives?
1. Long shelf life: They won't cure for one or two years. After use, isolation from oxygen allows for rapid bonding and curing within a short time.
2. Environmentally friendly and pollution-free: No solvent evaporation.
3. The adhesive tip does not easily cure, allowing for worry-free operation.
4. Accidental misapplication can be easily remedied; exposure to air will not cause curing.
5. The viscosity of anaerobic adhesives can be adjusted by the relative proportions of different molecular weight acrylate polymers.
That's all for the classification and properties of anaerobic adhesives for now. In the next article, we will continue to discuss other aspects of anaerobic adhesives.
